Manual backtesting inside MetaTrader 5
A Forex Simulator for MT5 is manual backtesting software that replays an earlier market period inside MetaTrader 5. Instead of waiting for a setup to appear on a demo account, you can practise reading the chart, placing trades and following your risk rules on historical data.
FXLab runs in the terminal you already use, but it is not limited to a broker's short archive. Choose the broker history already available in MT5 or use the included FxLab Data Center to download M1 history from Dukascopy for the simulator.

Use your broker history or download the required M1 period in FxLab Data Center, then select where the replay should begin.

The separate Data Center is installed with Forex Simulator and downloads only the missing Dukascopy M1 files. For supported markets with a long archive, you can work with 10–15 years of history instead of being limited to the shorter period stored by a broker.

Пользуюсь симулятором уже 5 дней, впечатления только положительные. Главный плюс — что это не отдельная программа, а советник прямо в MT5. Не пришлось привыкать к новому интерфейсу. Пока пользуюсь всего 5 дней, но уже вижу, что это будет полезный инструмент для отработки дисциплины перед реальными деньгами. Рекомендую.
